Awesome Show Announcement: Forensics, Nurse Beach, Andrew Cedermark & Buffalo Wildwing @ The Southern – 8/10/10
Just wanted to be sure to put the word out about this show at the Southern tomorrow night. It’s just $3 to get in, and a lot of music for the money. Here’s your chance to catch the Forensics guys before they head to Europe for the Ieper Fest in Belgium.
These shows are ridiculous amounts of fun. If anyone says there is no punk rock in Charlottesville, please point them to this show.
Forensics – “You Don’t Have to Win, But You Have to Fight”
With a new EP release on Magic Bullet and an aggressive lineup, this show should be pretty outstanding. I saw Forensics last at the FEST and their new stuff really blew me away. For a band as heavy as they are there is a lot of intricate guitar work and sincerity. This isn’t a band going through the motions for the sake of pomp. Following is a selection from their CD/LP – “You Don’t Have to Win, But You Have to Fight”. This show tonight is a release party for it. I’ve had it for a few weeks now and it has been in heavy rotation, the vinyl mastering is exquisite too (if you care about such things).
