With a new EP release on Magic Bullet and an aggressive lineup, this show should be pretty outstanding. I saw Forensics last at the FEST and their new stuff really blew me away. For a band as heavy as they are there is a lot of intricate guitar work and sincerity. This isn’t a band going through the motions for the sake of pomp. Following is a selection from their CD/LP – “You Don’t Have to Win, But You Have to Fight”. This show tonight is a release party for it. I’ve had it for a few weeks now and it has been in heavy rotation, the vinyl mastering is exquisite too (if you care about such things).

It was mastered by the same guy who did The Paper Chase’s Now You Are One of Us, which gets heavy rotation by me at the gym.

I got a copy of that LP insert (unfolded) and framed it. It is pretty spectacular.

You can find his stuff on Ebay, apparently including some of the things sold out on his site. Interesting his band came through Cville at Random Row in January.
