I’d like to introduce you to my pet squirrel, AJ ‘Stumpy’ Johnson. Some of you may recognize that name as belonging to the band manager/pimp of one of my all time favorites, the 2 Skinnee J’s. The rest of you simply cannot be helped.

Anyway, the squirrel was rescued from cat attack at about 10 weeks of age, and I managed to reintroduce it to the wild over the next few months. It turned out to be a great outlet for my ADD, my need to build things, and my desire to be generally counterproductive. He has been living free in my backyard for the last 5 months, and I’m about to undergo the process of winter-proofing his squirrelhouse. For the time being, everyone is welcome to waste their work hours staring at my backyard, squirrel stalking, and laughing at my dog’s persistent and unsuccessful attempts to re-capture Stumpy.
Keep watching for SquirrelCam updates. I’ll hopefully have time to build a more entertaining feeder tonight.

Ok. The squirrel feeder has been moved much closer. I don’t know if we’ll see them anymore tonight, but I’ll have the webcam running tomorrow as well. If it’s down when you check, I’m probably using my laptop for something else. Just check back later.

Hah. I thought about that when I was building the camera into the feeder. It’s definitely a little creepy. There’s lots more stuff on my FB.
